My Waitaha and Kāti Mamoe links are via my tipuna grandmother Motoitoi.
My Ngāti Kahungunu my link is via my tipuna grandfather Pahuwera of Ngāti Pahuwera.
Ngāti Rārua links are via my tipuna grandmother Nihorere (Daughter of Tuhuru) and the arranged marriage to Niho of Ngāti Rārua that was to ensure peace on the west coast between the two iwi.
My Kāi Tahu links are via a number of Tipuna that are in the Ngāi Tahu Kaumatua Blue Book. I whakapapa to a number of rūnaka including: Koukourarata, Tuahiwi, Taumutu, Ngāti Waewae, Rāpaki, Wairewa, Waihao, Puketeraki, Waihopai and Hokonui. Of the 5 primary Ngāi Tahu hapū i whakapa to Ngāti Irakehu, Kāti Huirapa, Ngāi Tūāhuriri and Ngāi Te Ruahikihiki.
My fathers matua whangai Karaitiana Taiuru (Jar) is links to Ngāti Awa and Tūwharetoa. My fathers whaea whangai Mihara Bessy Tainui is a grand daughter of Teone Taare Tikao of Rāpaki.
My tamariki whakapapa to Ngati Mutunga, Ngati Ruanui, Te Ati Awa, Taranaki Iwi, Ngati Tama, Ngati Hauiti, Ngati Moeahu, Ngati Haupoto, Ngati Haumia, Te Ati Awa, and Wanganui via their mother who is a Hohaia and via my wife to Waikato, Ngāti Porou, and Ngāti Ranginui via the Paringatai branch.
