The ICT industry is so new and even newer for Maoridom, that it is uncommon for a digital leader to pass. A server in our server farm was turned off last night.
I want to acknowledge the passing of a digital leader Richard Ozrecki.
Richard achieved a lot for Māoridom in the digital age and he will leave a gap in our industry. He was a member of a number of organisations and was the former chair of The New Zealand Māori Internet Society, sitting member of Nga Pu Waea and many other groups.
Richard was a role model to many and was responsible for many advancements in the ICT industry.
